José Seabra

José joined ESMA in 2017. He’s currently a policy officer at the Secondary Markets Team in the newly established Markets and Digital Innovation Department at ESMA.

The team is responsible for developing technical measures and supervisory convergence in the EU for secondary markets. His main responsibilities lie with the implementation of the MiFIR review, in particular the procedure for the selection of the CTP and non-equity transparency.

Prior to joining ESMA, Jose worked at the FCA as a Senior Associate in Markets Policy working on the implementation of MiFID II. Before joining the public sector, Jose worked at a renowned trading venue based in London.
