Biography
Mr. Louka is head of trading in Vanguard's Quantitative Equity Group. He joined Vanguard in 2021 and has spent most of his career in investment management primarily focusing on trading and transaction cost research. Prior to joining Vanguard in 2021, Mr. Louka was co-head of the trading desk at AJO, another quantitative equity portfolio manager. Prior to that, he was a trader and portfolio manager for a subsidiary of BNP Paribas in the equity derivatives division. Mr. Louka earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Loyola University in Maryland, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.I.D.S. from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Louka holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
