Paul Arling is the Chairman and CEO of Universal Electronics, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Early in his career, Paul joined UEI as Chief Financial Officer in 1996 and was named CEO in 2000. As a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors, Paul was appointed Chairman of UEI’s Board of Directors in 2001 and has held that position for 22 years. During his twenty-seven-year tenure, UEI has received numerous design awards, product and engineering awards, including an Emmy Award in Technology & Engineering in 2017 for voice-controlled remote technology. Paul holds over 100 patents at UEI, many around UEI’s industry-leading QuickSet® connectivity platform. Paul earned a BS in Economics, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
